Biography:
Dr Redelinghuys studied Ichthyology at Rhodes University, after which she completed her Honours degree in Ichthyology and Fisheries Science. She pursued an MSc in Marine Biology, after she obtained a PhD in the same field. She is currently appointed as a postdoc at the South African Institute for Aquatic Biodiversity as a part of the Indigenous Marine Innovations for sustainable Environments and Economies (IMIsEE) project, and hopes to return to the echinoderm research she began in her PhD. Dr Redelinghuys has submitted two of three publications arising from her doctoral degree and is a coauthor on four others.
