Biography:
Research Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University Center for Exact Sciences and Engineering (CUCEI), University of Guadalajara. Marine Biologist with an M.Sc. in Marine Biotechnology and a Ph.D. in the Use, Management, and Conservation of Natural Resources, specializing in Aquaculture Biotechnology. Level I member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII) and PRODEP recognized. Research focuses on probiotics, functional additives, plant-derived bioactives, pathogen detection, host responses, microbiome dynamics, metagenomics, bioremediation, and the biotechnological potential of microorganisms and marine resources. Research integrates biotechnology and emerging technologies to advance sustainable, resilient, and innovative aquaculture systems.
