Biography:
Ariane Shane M. Valdez, RFP is a Registered Fisheries Professional who earned her Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, major in Aquaculture, and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Studies major in Environmental Education from Mindanao State University. Her research interests include freshwater biodiversity, fisheries resource assessment, and aquatic ecosystem conservation. She is the author of the study, “Abundance and Distribution of Freshwater Eels in Pangi River, Maitum, Sarangani Province.” She currently serves as a Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer II and Research and Planning Section Chief Designate at the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, LGU Maitum, Philippines.
