Biography:
Dr. Fauzia Sherwani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology, Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University, where she earned her Ph.D., M.Phil., M.Sc., and B.Sc. degrees. A committed educator, she teaches courses in Animal Diversity, Comparative Anatomy, Public Health and Hygiene, Biotechniques, and Applied Zoology. A trained ichthyologist, her research focuses on fish physiology and osmoregulation and emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration with heavy metal toxicity, nutrition, and cancer. She has published in national and international journals, presented at conferences, and received competitive fellowships and grants, including a Women Scientist grant from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
