Biography:
Gandhi Napitupulu completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Oceanography at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia, in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Since the 2023/2024 academic year, he has served as a Lecturer in the Environmental and Applied Oceanography Research Group within the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology at ITB. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at Hiroshima University, Japan, where he joined the Coastal Hazards and Energy System Science (CHESS) Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Han Soo Lee. His Ph.D. research, beginning in October 2024, focuses on estimating blue carbon potential in the Seto Inland Sea using high-resolution ocean modeling and remote sensing techniques. He enrolled in the Graduate School of Innovation and Practice for Smart Society.
