Biography:
Orthancia Rasoanomenjanahary is a Master's student in Marine Sciences at the Institut Halieutique et des Sciences Marines (IH.SM), University of Toliara, Madagascar. Her research focuses on aquatic resources, with particular interest in seaweed cultivation, fisheries, aquaculture, and biodiversity conservation.
She conducted research on the edible red macroalgae Gracilaria corticata, focusing on biomass assessment and cultivation trials to evaluate its potential contribution to food security in southwestern Madagascar. Her work aims to support the sustainable use of aquatic resources and the conservation of aquatic ecosystems in Madagascar.
